Thomaston’s own Candice Young, nurse practitioner, has joined Upson Cardiology.
With almost 10 years of experience as a nurse, Young is dedicated, hard-working, and has proven ability to assess, treat, and educate patients and their families.
As a nurse practitioner, she will work alongside cardiologist Mark Dorogy, MD, to provide nursing care to patients with chronic and acute diseases. “I’ve always worked and lived in Upson County, and I love taking care of the community in which I was born and raised,” said Young.
Young graduated with a Master’s of Science in Nursing at South University. She received her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing at Gordon State College. Previously, she was a charge nurse in the Special Care Unit at Upson Regional Medical Center and a nurse practitioner at McIntosh Trail CSB. Candice has two children, Stephanie and Cheyenne, and they reside in Thomaston.
“We are excited to have Candice on our team. Her years of experience in nursing and strong communication skills make her a great asset,” said Mark Dorogy, MD.
