Monica S. Darty, nurse practitioner, is now with Upson OB/GYN.
With almost 10 years of experience in nursing, Darty is excited to contribute to the health of women and children in our community.
She will work alongside Rhonda Brooks, WHNP, and supervising physicians Joy Baker, MD, and Nicolas Psomiadis, MD. “I am passionate about serving the women and children in this area,” said Darty. “It’s close to home, and the patients already feel like family.”
Darty graduated with a Master of Science in Nursing/Family Nurse Practitioner from Troy State University. Previously, she worked as a Family Nurse Practitioner at Martin Army Community Hospital and the Muscogee County Health Department where she cared for many adult patients. She also was a Family Nurse Practitioner at Dr. Crandall Chambers’ OB/GYN office in Columbus, GA where she provided obstetrical, gynecological, and women’s health services. Monica has one child, Eli, and they reside in Columbus.
Dr. Baker and the OB/GYN team are thrilled to add another provider and improve access to women’s health care. “Monica brings a diverse skill set to our practice. As a former Labor & Delivery nurse and Family Nurse Practitioner, she is able to competently meet the needs of both pregnant and non-pregnant patients. Her passion for women’s health falls right in line with our mission to provide quality care and exceptional service,” said Dr. Baker.
